Whatever it is that you're going through, you don't have to do alone. I am an Orlando therapist who helps women overcome difficult times in their lives and through the counseling relationship, I help them find relief from the emotional pain they are experiencing. I work with women to grow from those experiences, to gain insight from them and to move forward in living a life of meaning and joy. Your unhappiness can manifest in many ways and it has a way of making itself known. It could be in the form of anxiety, sadness, fatigue, overeating, drinking too much, staying busy, spending too much time in front of the television or on the internet, physical ailments, strained relationships, wanting to hide and feeling hopeless and discouraged. Feeling this way isn't your fault, but once you know that you aren't able to manage anymore alone, it may be your call to begin to make a change. If you think it might be beyond your capabilities to get through it alone, then it may be worthwhile for you to spend some time with a therapist/counselor. I would be honored to work with you. If you think that something -- whether it is your feelings, your situation or a certain angst inside you that you don't understand or can’t control -- is keeping you from living and achieving your dream life, you can do something about it. Am I the right therapist for you? I am a North Orlando therapist who specializes in helping women with depression, anxiety, grief and loss, relationships and other important life issues. Before I moved to Orlando I worked with Hospice and Palliative Care in Charlotte, North Carolina working with parents, children, siblings and spouses move forward after terrible losses in their lives. You can read more about my background in my online bio. I can help you come to terms with depression, anxiety, adjusting to a difficult or stressful change, and/or your general unhappiness or dissatisfaction with life. I also counsel women who are grieving loss in their lives -- whether it is the death of a close friend or family member or the loss of an important relationship (such as a divorce). If you are grieving I suggest you visit my grief counseling-focused web site where I've written and posted several articles that you may find useful. Let me tell you about my counseling process. I see counseling clients as resilient with all of the internal resources needed for healing and wholeness. However, more often than not, painful life experiences such as emotional or physical abuse, traumas, and losses of loved ones cause blocks to those resources which leave one feeling lost, disconnected, hopeless and helpless. I help clients find their inner resources and assist them by providing a safe, healing, and compassionate environment that encourages insight and growth. If you're like most of my clients, you're a pretty busy person with a complicated life and you can't afford to take three weeks off to sit on a deserted island and cry. Together you and I will come up with strategies and solutions to help you safely work through your feelings and emotions. I'll prepare you with the tools you need so you can still live your life and work beyond the pain and the discomfort...so you can have the rich and fulfilling life you deserve. You won't have to go it alone. I'll be there to guide you through the difficult parts. I'll help you find your strength and your self-confidence and we'll rediscover together the smiling, happy places that you miss. I look forward to hearing from you soon. Please don't hesitate to call me if you have any questions. Even if I'm not the right counselor/therapist for you, I will be happy to help you get to where you need to go. Please call me at (407) 506-6277 for a free phone consultation.
